The team, were fund raising for the Firefighters Charity and spent the day washing cars with the help of young volunteers and staff from the local branch of Bank of Scotland.
Crews from the station raised a record amount of £817.12 which was matched by the Bank of Scotland to reach a total sum of £1,634.24.
Tony Meechan, station commander, told the Advertiser: “Everyone did really well and I would just like to thank our local community for supporting the event; the Helensburgh Advertiser for supporting the event by positively publicising the car wash in the lead up to it; our local Bank of Scotland staff who, as well as the bank match funding what we collected, attended on the day, were very positive, and fully involved in the event to make it a very special day.”
