The vehicle of the 25-year-old came to a stop in a garden.
Police say the man was charged with allegedly taking and driving the vehicle without permission, driving without insurance, and whilst over the prescribed drink driving limit, as well as alleged licence irregularities.
The man was later release from custody to attend court on an undertaking basis.
