Parents and children were on hand to serve tea and coffee and home bakes to mums and dads taking advantage of the fine weather while youngsters enjoyed a cup of juice and a biscuit.

There was also a bottle stall and a couple of craft stalls for parents looking for a bargain and a raffle was held for those feeling lucky.

A spokeswoman from the school said: “Parklands Parent Council Coffee Morning was a great success, raising £295.

“Fiona MacLennan, chairwoman of the parent council says she would like to thank everyone who helped out at the event and to everyone who donated the fabulous prizes.

“Parklands Easter Café will be held Thursday, March 26 (today) from 10am to 11.30am. “The admission fee is £1.50 which will include tea, coffee, and biscuits. “There is also a fabulous food hamper to be won in a raffle.”
