SVA Property Auctions, Scotland’s independent auction service, will be putting 27 lots under the hammer on Wednesday, April 29 - including Balvaird and Mardon, 2 West Abercromby Street.

The property – listed as lot 22 for the auction – has consent for residential re-development to form 11 flats and a single news dwelling. It comprises of two ‘substantial’ blonde sandstone two-storey building with a modern single storey link building between them.

Most recently a private nursing home, the accommodation is south facing with views of the Firth of Clyde and stands in 1.46 acres of grounds.

Shaun Vigers, SVA director and auctioneer, said: “This auction is a typical SVA sale, offering a wide mix of commercial and residential lots. We are confident that the high levels of interest seen at the February auction will be sustained in the April sale. The market is buoyant and auction as a preferred route to market continues to be endorsed by significant sellers.” Other properties up at auction include properties in Dundee’s City Quaya home in the village of Giffordtown, near Cupar in Fife.
