Detectives have launched a manhunt after an attempted armed robbery at a Helensburgh newsagents.
Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses after staff were threatened with a weapon during the 'assault with intent to rob' at a newsagents in East King Street.
The incident occurred at around 1.15pm on Friday, June 26.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said a man entered the shop and threatened the staff with a weapon before fleeing the scene empty handed.
Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have observed a male wearing a dark hooded top and jeans in the vicinity of East King Street and Sinclair Street at these times.
