Anthony Hollern, 34, and Margaret Methven, 29, are accused of threatening a man at a property in the town’s West King Street on January 28.
They are alleged to have made threats in a bid to have him retract a statement he gave to police and are accused of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Hollern is also charged with breaking into the property and brandishing a knife at the man and another man.
He is further alleged to have had a knife at West King Street on the same date.
The pair, of Grey Street, Alexandria, had a hearing at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Tuesday, June 30, and deny the charges.
They are due to go on trial on October 21.
