Karen Harvey, 44, formerly of Craigrownie Gardens, Kilcreggan, appeared from custody to admit repeatedly punching her husband whilst within a car on the A814 near Kidston Park, Helensburgh.
The attack took place on June 10 this year.
Sheriff Maxwell Hendry called for a psychiatric report on Harvey when she apeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Tuesday, June 30.
He deferred sentence until July 21 for the report to be prepared and remanded Harvey in custody.
