The group had meeting with Audrey Baird from Argyll and Bute Council about third sector funding for voluntary organisations like cub scout groups and OAP groups.
Secretary Mary Haggerty told the Advertiser: “It was very informative and really excellent.
“We heard how she can help us by the way of advice about funding and heard how she can help groups in their applications for funding.
“The disappointing thing is that community councils can’t apply for funding so that seemed strange to me.” Community councillors also expressed concerns over an accident at the three lanes north of Inverbeg at the weekend which caused ‘traffic chaos’.
Ms Haggerty said: “We have asked our transport minister for Scotland to put safety surface on the road from the Stone Bridge to the Bank Corner to try and eliminate all accidents but unfortunately there has been another four accidents since.” Community councillors discussed a number of other issues which had arisen during the summer break and Ms Haggerty said it was a ‘busy and productive meeting.’
