Police Scotland is appealing for information on the whereabouts of a 45 year-old woman who has been missing from the Helensburgh area since earlier today.
Karen Harvey was last seen at around 6am this morning (Friday, September 4) on East Clyde Street at the junction with Station Road, Helensburgh, and heading in the direction of Hermitage Academy towards Cardross.
She is described as white, slim built and around 5ft 4in height.
Karen has blonde hair with brown roots showing and has a tanned complexion.
She was last seen wearing a light coloured top, light grey cardigan, green tracksuit bottoms and visible fluorescent pink neon socks.
Inspector Coleen Wylie, Dumbarton Police Office, is leading the inquiry.
She said: “It is unlike Karen not to be in contact and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.
“Officers, including the force helicopter, are currently searching for Karen in the Helensburgh area, checking CCTV and contacting people who know her to try and trace Karen safe and well.” Anyone with information as to her whereabouts is asked to contact police via the 101 number.
