The Co-op is being blamed for behaving scandalously over a derelict building - described as a danger to the public - in Rosneath village centre.

Rosneath and Clynder Community Council are up in arms over the apparent refusal of the Co-op to demolish the building.

They heard that the continued existence of the building, which blocks sight lines on the main road, is preventing the creation of a new pedestrian crossing at the junction of Clachan Road and Main Road, the busiest crossing in the village.

Permission for the demolition of the building and creation of a car park in its place was finally granted last year but since then nothing has happened.
