Dave Ross welcomed the youngsters to the studio

A TALENTED teen has had an exciting week being filmed by a TV crew following his success on a national show.

Last Friday a camera crew from Channel Five's 'Don't Stop Believing' arrived in the area to chart the progress of Ardencaple teenager Steven Thomson and his six pals, whose singing have wowed judges on the talent show.

The youngster says it has been "amazing" being followed by camera crews and being interviewed as part of his performance with Alexandria-based Singer Station.

The group have been in high demand since returning home after an incredible performance on Sunday July 18.

And to document their whirlwind of interviews and appearances, Channel Five came to film the youngsters appearance on the YOUR Radio Breakfast show with Dave Ross.

Steven said: "It's been amazing being filmed by cameramen and interviewed.

"We spoke about the show and sang on Your Radio and then we were interviewed.

"It's changed my life because it has made me much more confident. We are doing lots of rehearsing now and I can't wait to get back into the studio to perform."

Louise MacFarlane, who launched the group with her husband Des, said: "Every single one of the kids has cancelled their holidays to be on the show.

"These kids are just taking it as it comes.

"They are still very raw and even judge Anastacia said that.

"They have been like wee kids in a sweetie shop."

The camera crews also filmed at Louise and Des's home in Bonhill, Alexandria.

Louise added: "I only found out the camera crews were coming to film at my house at 11pm on Thursday night, so it's all been very exciting."

Looking forward to the final of the show on August 22, Louise added: "The kids go back to London on August 19 prior to the show.

"It'll be great to meet the other groups who are through to the final as they will all be on a high.

"Everyone who has got through will have the same feelings.

"It's not about winning though, the kids will sing from their hearts and make it a memory to treasure and they can say to people, look what I have achieved.

"We have a 'vote Singer Station Facebook' which already has 950 fans and we also have a Twitter site as well."

The group are Kirsten Gibson, 16, Sian Ross, 14, Jenny Sim, 16, Kerr Glover, 14, Zaina Mabuye, 14, and Stuart Wilson, 15, all from Alexandria and Steven.
