A POPULAR Helensburgh pub has been handed a curfew and had its late night opening hours cut, following complaints over noise.
On Tuesday Argyll and Bute Council Licensing Board decided to restrict the Logie Baird's opening hours after a number of residents contacted the council over anti-social behaviour.
The move was the culmination of an investigation into a series of complaints about noise nuisance and other inappropriate behaviour at the James Street premises, dating back to last autumn.
Meanwhile the board gave the Co-op a written warning after it failed a test purchase and sold alcohol to a child in April.
Six Helensburgh residents travelled to the council HQ in Lochgilphead on Tuesday to make representations over the Logie Baird pub.
This was after eight letters of objection, and a submission with 20 names were sent to the council, complaining about shouting, swearing and fighting outside the pub during and after hours.
