STUNNING snow sculptures created by two residents are capturing the imagination of the public.
Michael Sermak, 33, and Karel Bussek, 35, both live in Nursery Street, Helensburgh.
The friends, who work in construction, are originally from the Czech Republic. They say it is a traditional custom there for people to request snow sculpture from builders, and commission them to build them in parks and gardens.
Requests can also come from the council, who will deliver snow from all around - a move these lads are keen to see happen here.
Mr Sermak said: "They are to make people happy and feel good because it is Christmas time, people are saying they are beautiful, but there is not enough snow here. We want the council to bring us more snow so we can make more."
The four sculptures were created on Monday evening and took hours to build, the stegosaurus dinosaur - which is around 15 feet in length - took five hours to make, Scooby Doo took three hours, the turtle took two hours and the mushroom with a face took an hour.
Mr Bussek added: "As soon as we get more snow, we will be out building more."
