ANOTHER swingeing round of proposed cuts have been drawn up by council officers - which could see two popular libraries close.
Rosneath and Cardross libraries could close under Argyll and Bute Council's service review 'preferred options' - and both communities are now gearing up to fight the proposals.
The council says it could save £19,194 by scrapping Cardross Library and £12,815 by shutting Rosneath Library.
The development has been met with anger from the secretary of Rosneath and Clynder Community Council, who says the Peninsula seems to be the first targeted when it comes to council cuts.
These savings are in addition to those proposed by the recent decision to consult on proposals to close Rosneath Primary, as well as three other schools in the area Reviews of nine services areas have revealed Argyll and Bute Council could potentially make £7.5m worth of cuts.
