A SEARCH for a missing Helensburgh teenager ended on Saturday after being found "safe and well" in the Clydebank area.

Naomi Gallagher, 14, went missing from Scott Court, in Helensburgh, after visiting her grandmother, on New Years Eve.

Last week, her mum Karen McMonagle made a tearful appeal to her daughter to return home through the Advertiser.

The police launched a media appeal for her return and they thanked the media and public "very much" for all their assistance.
