THE Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club is holding a fair and boat jumble a their Rhu premises from 1pm until 4.30pm on Sunday.
This is the time when sailors start to prepare for the coming season. Boats need spares which may not be readily available.
People dig out their unwanted second hand bits and pieces varying from nuts & screws through Boat fittings to whole boats.
Foul weather gear is often a feature. The Boat Jumble provides a market place for those things which may be one mans jumble but another"s treasure.
The Jumble has a number of stalls taken by private individuals, a commission table where anyone can place items , which if sold, will provide them with some cash and a small contribution to the Club.
The Club has its own table to sell surplus Club goods and any items donated to the Club.
In addition to the second hand tables, local sailing services will be displaying their wares with some items at bargain prices.
Apart from the Club fair it"s a great social occasion for sailing folk to meet friends old and new and anticipate the coming season.
Entrance costs £1, which includes coffee, and children are admitted free of charge. Bar lunches and a bar will be available.
