Organisers are looking forward to welcoming competitors and visitors from around the world as gates open at 9am. The gathering is a traditional Scottish highland games with solo piping and highland dance competitions, together with cycling and track-and-field events.

It has earned an international reputation with a high standard of competition attracting competitors from Scotland and around the world.

This year’s solo piping competition has attracted a strong field from as far afield as the USA, the Netherlands, Canada, Germany, and even Australia, plus competitors Northern Ireland and England.

Visitors of all ages can take part in open races or budding strong men can have a go at lifting the fabled ‘St Modan’s Manhood Stone’ and try and hold it at chest height for as long as possible.
