More than 70 stall holders presented their goods for sale at the annual Hermitage Academy Christmas Craft Fair – raising £3,400.
Organised by the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), the event is the biggest in the school’s fund raising calendar and one of the largest craft fairs in the area.
Miriam Sutter, chairwoman of the PTA, told the Advertiser: “A great big thank you to everyone who came to the Hermitage Academy Christmas Craft Fair to raise funds for school clubs. What a wonderful day “We had Santa for an early visit, the Gareloch One Design sailing Class supporting the Grotto set up by Jackie McGilvray and her helpers. Mr Pittom strategically sent the elves Helena, James and Annie, who worked together with our primary elves Rosie and Jessica.
“And by all the fun we had we raised an astonishing £3400 for the wonderful variety of school activities.
“It was such a great team effort by everyone involved.”
