I AGREE wholeheartedly with Leslie Maxwell who, in "Eye on Millig" last week, drew attention to the proliferation of bi-lingual signs.

I can certainly understand the sense of English / Gaelic signs in the far west and north-west where Gaelic is still entirely relevant. But in Helensburgh?

As your columnist points out, quite rightly in my view, political correctness is the motive here - and at what additional cost?
