HELENSBURGH Amateur Athletics Club athlete Alex Burns was flying the flag for Scotland at the weekend after being chosen to represent her country in the Sainsburys 2015 school games in Manchester.
Alex topped off a very successful season by competing in the triple jump at the athletics competition.
The Sainsburys 2015 school games takes place over four days featuring 12 sports and 1600 athletes split into area teams from around the UK.
Alex performed very well finishing seventh in the triple jump event with a distance of 10.68m, she had four jumps within 5cm of her best jump on the day.
Conditions were tricky on the day with gusting winds having a big impact.
