HELENSBURGH Swimming Club’s youngsters made a splash at the South Ayrshire swim team annual mini meet.
A team of nine travelled to the Citadel sports centre in Ayr where.Cameron and Ross Carmichael each secured sixth places in the age 11, 50m freestyle and the 50m breaststroke respectively.
Top 10 places also went to Ross Carmichael in the 200m freestyle when he secured ninth place and an amazing personal best time improved by 36.29 seconds. He also secured 10th place in the 50m freestyle and another PB of 1.2 seconds.
Alice Cumming, swimming in the 8-9 age group, secured ninth place in the 50m butterfly, Finlay Martin swimming in the age 11 group secured ninth place in the 100m individual medley and a PB of 5.1 seconds.
Ethan Parsons, who has only recently joined the club, was swimming in the age 10 group and secured eighth place in the 50m breaststroke and a PB of 2.36 seconds.
Ethan Parsons and Ross Carmichael secured personal best times in all five of their events with Millie Armstrong-Sheen securing PBs in three of her four events.
