HELENSBURGH sailors Charlotte Dobson and Lorenzo Chiavarini were in action at the recent Princess Sofia Trophy in Palma, Majorca.
Rio 2016 Olympian Dobson concluded the 49er FX competition alongside Saskia Tidey in sixth.
As the wind picked up on the final day, the pair took the bullet in the first of three scheduled medal races. With only two boats finishing the second race, the racing was abandoned for the day.
Chiavarini made it to the final race in the Laser event and finished in eighth place.
The Burgh sailor was just outside the medals in fourth two races before the end.
Chiavarini said prior to the medal race: “It’s great having so many boats at the front of the fleet. Some of the others are very strong at starting, which is something I’m working on so that I can try and catch them up. I’ve been gaining places downwind which is helping though.”
