BOOKINGS are now being taken for a series of summer football camps being organised by Argyll and Bute Council.
There are two blocks of five-day courses at Hermitage Academy – the first from July 3-7, and the second from August 7-11 – with three different courses on offer each week.
‘Mini Kickers’ is aimed at three- and four-year-olds and costs £12 per child for the week, while a Soccer Week Taster, costing £24 for the first child and £16 for each additional child from the same family, is open to pupils in P1-P4.
The third course, ‘Soccer Week’, is for P1-S1 pupils and costs £45 per child for the week and £30 for each subsequent child from the same family.
There’s also a residential camp running in Oban from July 24-28, aimed at pupils aged from nine to 15 years and costing £200 per child for the week (£150 for each additional child).
Bookings for the courses at Hermitage Academy are being taken at Helensburgh Swimming Pool and will close at noon on the Thursday prior to the start of the course.
The council is also running football camps in Rothesay, Dunoon, Lochgilphead, Campbeltown, Oban and Islay during July and August.
