There was cause for celebration last week for former Lomond School pupil Charlotte Chambers as she was awarded her Colours for Trampoline and then the prestigious McTernan Colour of the Year Award t the Blues and Colours Awards.

It caps an amazing few weeks for Charlotte after she completed her fourth year studying Psychology at Edinburgh University.

She was awarded the Colour of the Year Award, the Outstanding Colour of the Year, for her all round contribution to University sport

During her time at university, Charlotte has held several positions on the Trampoline Club committee and has qualified as a judge and a Level 2 Coach.

She has also spent the last year as the Secretary of the Edinburgh University Sports Union, the Executive Committee responsible for sport at the University. The University Sports President stated that Charlotte had gone well above and beyond what was expected in her role as secretary and that was a most deserving winner of the McTernan Colour.

Charlotte's efforts have been further recognised though with her being shortlisted for the Scottish Students Sport (SSS) and British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Volunteer of the Year awards, short lists of two and three respectively. This is an amazing achievement, very many congratulations Charlotte.

The awards for SSS and BUCS will be announced later in the summer.
