Lomond School's hockey teams were in fine form last week as they took on their counterparts from St. Columba's
Rosie Green gave the Second Team the lead early lead in the second half, but St.Columba’s then scored two goals in two minutes to take the lead.
Lomond’s defence was strong with Izzy Stilwell in the sweeper position and good passes from Isobel Roberts, Elizabeth Homewood and Molly Macken allowed Lomond back in the game.
It was a great goal from Molly that finallly got the equaliser and the game ended 2-2.
Player of the match was Molly Macken.
The Second Years were up against a strong St.Columba’s side, despite a good defensive display from Lomond they lost 2-0.
The team struggled to get the ball to the midfield and strikers and the players had to work hard throughout the match to stay in contention.
Jenny Scott made some good leads in the attacking zone and both Olivia Winton and Emma played well in defence.
