The fifth week of Helensburgh Golf Club’s Frostbite competition was won by Ray Smith.

Smith edged the field of 11 players with a score of 21 points, with Jon Simmons, Dougie Singleton and Michael Stephen all joint second with 18.

John Gallagher was the winner of the scorecard raffle, taking home three Titleist NXT Tour Balls.

And in Helensburgh's other competition of the week, David Kennedy edged past Bill MacDonald to finish in first place.

Kennedy topped the field of 54 players, the highest of the competition so far, with a score of 24 points, narrowly beating MacDonald on 23 points.

Alistair McKenzie was the winner of the scorecard raffle this week, winning three Titleist ProV1 balls and a Titleist glove.

A total of £27 was added to the hole in one pot which now stands at £308.

Ian Porter and Ray Smith are joint top of the leaderboard after six weeks of the competition, and Charles Barbour and John Gallacher are chasing their tails on 18 points.
