Stephen Donald won the annual McRobert Thistle Trophy Stableford at Helensburgh Golf Club last Saturday with a score of 42 points.
He finished two points ahead of Douglas Willoughby, while Steven O’Brien and Billy Trail were third with 39.
In the May round of the Ormond Medal on Wednesday 9th, net scores were as follows.
Division one – Dominic Taylor and Terry Smith 67; Shey Donald 68.
Division two – John MacMillan and Colin Reid both 70; Bob Berry 72.
Division three – Mike Tait 70; David Graham 72; Gordon Murdoch 76.
In the gents nine-hole stableford medal on May 7, six scored 19 points. On count back the order of merit was: Brian Penman, Donald Nicolson, Ian Shields, Lou Carrier, Edward Sommerville, Gordon McConnell.
