It focused on Helensburgh Athletics Club’s recent performances of which there was several of note.
The club had been represented in the McAndrew Road Relay at Scotstoun by John Robertson, James Haston, Victor Hamilton and John Wagner.
They also had 14 athletes takeing part in the Peter Holmes Trophe’s Cross Country Meeting at Dalmuir Park.
Club junior coach Eva Rankin, Beverly Wagner, Sally Hambling and Rita Robertson appeared in the ladies event.
While Andrew Wonnacolt , John Egan, George Plaxton, Gary Webb and Michael McKechnie ran in the youths and boys race. Kerry Wallace and Rachel Haig competed in the girls event.
