LOMOND School runners were among the top performers at the recent Primary Cross Country competition hosted at Helensburgh Rugby Club and Lomond School pitches.
At the event, organised by Helensburgh Athletics Club and Active Schools, Lomond’s Jenna Gallacher won the Primary 6 race and received her trophy from Scottish Commonwealth Hurdler, Chris Baillie.
The other results from the rest of the Lomond competitors were:
Primary 6 girls (107 girls took part):
1st Jenna Gallacher, 27th Zoe McEwan, 59th Sophie Bell.
Primary 6 boys (126 boys took part):
Ewan McCartney (19th), Oscar Deighan (20th), Magnus Gray (24th), Findlay Penniston (28th), Harry Chan (30th), Toby Dennison (50th), Tom Fleming (51st), Rory McLean (59th) and Joshua McCowat (69th).
Primary 7 girls (99 girls took part):
Amber Wells (15th), Clara Von Kaehne (25th), Zara Etchells (47th).
Primary 7 boys (115 boys took part):
James Steward (9th), George Riley (18th), Andrew Williams (34th), Michael Whitworth (52nd), Jerry Zvegintzov (53rd), Caleb O’Hare (73rd).
