Helensburgh Amateur Athletics Club hosted an athletics camp over the first week of the Easter school holiday which saw a number of budding athletes enjoy a fun taster to a wide range of athletic events.

The programme culminated in a ‘mini-Olympics’ style team competition at the end of the week, allowing the athletes to put into practice all the new skills they had been learning.

It was great to see so many young athletes taking part and all had an enjoyable week.

Meanwhile, Helensburgh AAC are planning to start a new intake of young athletes in to their development stage ‘Run, Jump and Throw’ group.

This programme is aimed at children who are aged nine and ten, and will take place indoors at Hermitage Academy on Monday evenings.

There are a limited number of places still available for this group, but all applications to join the programme must be received by this Monday, April 16.
