DELHI-TED: Angus is going to the Commonwealth Games

HELENSBURGH thrower Angus McInroy will represent Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi this October, writes Kristian Truelsen.

Angus, who is a member of Shettleston Harriers, will compete against the best world athletics has to offer.

The 23-year-old was chosen for the 19-strong athletics squad last week and his selection comes after a string of fantastic performances at home and abroad.

The Glasgow University student has hit form at the perfect time as the Games approach in six weeks.

Sport Scene reported last month that Angus recently broke the national record in Italy.

He also set a new milestone in the native record at the Scottish athletics championships.
