The school’s runners, also all members of Helensburgh Amateur Athletics Club entered a number of different categories, with Antonia Burns, Jessica Noble, Chloe Johnston and Chloe Murphy competing as the under-14 girls team, achieving a fantastic seventh place team finish with all four girls putting in great individual performances and Jessica Noble in particular leading the way.

Bryn Davies and Michael Miller set off next for the under-14 boys and both ran in fantastic times with Michael finishing in the highest position of the day, 10th place. Kara Bruce, Mhairi Cromar and Maddie Joseph all showed great athleticism, Kara especially, finishing 16th overall.

Unfortunately the girls were one runner short of a complete team, otherwise they would have surely made it on to the podium.

The under-15 boys, Gregor Chambers, Raymond Slaughter and Bruce Cromar, all went out and made their school proud with Gregor leading the way for the team in 31st.

Megan Robertson and Melissa Robinson both ran extremely well in the 15-17 years of age group. Standing out from the rest, Melissa, who was one of the youngest runners in this group, finished 16th overall.

Joe Barton and Fin Richie finished off the day in the older boys groups, both running very well and finishing in the top 50 in Scotland. Congratulations to all of the athletes for making their school, club and community proud.
