Triple time for Burgh ladies

EmailHELENSBURGH Ladies Open Triples competition took place on Sunday.
A total of 24 triples from clubs across the local area and further afield were divided into four sections of six triples.
After the six section games, each team played the winners of the sections who qualified for the semi-finals.
They were: M Wood, J Anderson and I Johnstone (Garelochhead BC), C Wilson, M Forrest and L Prentice (Milngavie BC), J McLean, E Smith and I Drynan (Willowbank BC), J Riach, M McLarty and A Peake (Clydebank BC).
The final, although full of good bowling, ended in a fairly comfortable win for Willow BC bank triple who won the trophy for the first time, although they have taken part for many years.
