Junior bowlers hit the green

COVE and Kilcreggan Bowling Club held its junior invitation open singles competition on Saturday September 11.

The competition was well represented from Cove, Garelochhead and Rhu bowling clubs and was played to an exceptionally high standard, which proves positive for the sports continued growth in the Gareloch area.

The two sections were hotly contested with section winners Alexander Ross (Cove) and George Skee (Garelochhead) meeting in the final and runners-up Jamie Godfrey (Cove) meeting Charles Cavana (Rhu) in the gold run.

Alexander and Jamie both representing Cove succesfully won through to uplift the trophy’s.

Both winners, accompanied by Charles (Rhu), George, Amy Dobrovich, Keiran Smith (Garelochhead) and Sean and Calum Cairns, Arran Ross and John Neal (Cove) are pictured.

Cove Bowling Club would like to thank all junior competitors for their attendance and exceptional standards of play.
