DUMBARTON have made three signings this week, bringing in Alan Martin, Daniel Harvie and Joe Thomson.

Goalkeeper Martin signs on a one-year contract, defender Harvie joins on a development loan from Aberdeen and Thomson joins on loan from Celtic.

They bring Stevie Aitken’s close-season signings up to 10 so far, and the total current squad numbers up to 21, with goalkeeper Jamie Barclay’s one-month spell due to end soon.

Thomson, 19, described a a box-to-box midfielder, made his first-team debut for Celtic last season against Dundee United at Tannadice.

And he recently signed a new two-year contract with the Scottish champions.

He is another Celtic youngster to come on loan to The Rock in recent years, following in the footsteps of Jamie Lindsay and Stuart Findlay having spells at the CID Stadium.

Aitken, speaking to the club’s website about signings, said: “Daniel will give us some defensive options and he’s a welcome addition to our squad.”

Martin, 27, moves from Hamilton, He has also been capped for Scotland at U19 and U21 level, and has had previous spells at Clyde, Crewe Alexandra, Leeds United and Ayr United.

Harvie, 18, signed a new two-year deal with Aberdeen earlier in the summer, having been with the Dons since he was 10.
