Neath notch win number one
Club Springburn 1 Ronseath 3
ROSNEATH have a spring in their step after recording their first league win of the season.
On paper a result looked unlikely, with Springburn sitting third, while the peninsula side were still nursing their wounds from a drubbing by Drumchapel United.
And despite manager Blenkinsop being faced with five call-offs, Neath pulled out a well-deserved win to move clear of bottom spot.
Two of the five players drafted in as replacements got their names on the scoresheet.
Flaxington, Dillon, Murray, Doyle and Milne all started in the match which began in scrappy fashion.
Neither side created any clearcut chances, with Murray, Dillon and Beaton all seeing efforts going wide.
The home side took the lead from the penalty spot with their first attack of any note.
Neath centre-half Hackett was lucky not to see red as he hacked down the Springburn midfielder as he shaped to shoot in the box.
Springburn sensed a cricket score as they broke clear once more, their striker slotting past keeper Mason, only for Milne to make an excellent sliding clearance on the line.
Rosneath got their equaliser just before half-time, when Leishman"s corner was bulleted home by a towering header from Milne which left the keeper helpless.
