It didn’t take Helensburgh long to show the visitors they meant business when David Sinclair scored the team’s fastest goal this season.

He got on the end of a Black pass to rifle the ball home after only two minutes.

The visitors were again on the back foot as the home team stormed forward and only a good save by the keeper kept a Jones shot away.

However he could do nothing about the second attempt as the striker shot low past the keeper into the net.

More chances came the home side’s way — but they failed to capitalise on them as the first-half drew to a conclusion.

With Helensburgh well on top the support waited for a goal rush as the second-half started but despite the constant pressure they could not increase their lead.

Cavanna in goal had one of his quietest games as his defence kept the visitors out.

Although the goals were lacking in the second-half it was a improved performance from the previous week and it’s hoped that this can be a catalyst for a good run from Burgh as they look to progress up the league table.
