The event is due to take place at the BurgGolf, Purmerand, near Amsterdam and Cameron will line up alongside Michael Lawrie, son of 1999 Open Champion Paul Lawrie, in the eight man Scotland team.

Cameron will be the latest in a long line of talented juniors from Cardross GC to represent their country.

The youngster is a product of the successful Scottish Golf Academy, he is in the third year of a five year programme where he is joined on the course by two other up and coming stars of the junior ranks, Jillian Farrell and Lori McDonald.

The objective of the SGU programme is to provide a framework to develop natural skills with a focus on reaching national level and representing Scotland.

Although the match is a only a development tie it will give the squad members a chance to gather experience of travelling to international matches and playing for Scotland in foursome and single competitions.

Cardross GC are currently looking to expand the Junior membership in the 8-18 age group and any players interested can contact Andy Black on 07515 774235 or Graham Mill on 01389 841213 for further information.
