Hamilton FPs 1 Rhu Ams 3

RHU travelled to face Hamilton FP"s last Thursday and despite going a goal down they came back strongly to record a deserved victory.

After having the best of the early exchanges, Rhu went behind when Hamilton"s No.9 got to a long ball first and fired home.

Rhu levelled the scoring before the break when Dougie Black"s back header deceived the advancing keeper.

The second half belonged to Rhu with Davie Phillips hitting a spectacular double. His first was from a free kick 20-yards out which went over the wall and found the corner of the net.

His second came when he ran on to a through ball and gave the keeper no chance from just inside the box.

Rhu: Heron, MacDonald, McMillan, Brodie, Miller, Phillips, Gibson, Scullion, Sinclair, Black and Tadlock.

AFTER their win on Thursday, Rhu went on to secure another three points when they travelled to face Symington.

Although not at their best, Rhu had most of the early pressure coming close on a couple of occasions.

Symington were playing the long ball without too much success and Rhu went ahead after half an hour when Dougie Black made space in the box and found the back of the net.

In the second half, Rhu squandered several chances, but despite a few anxious moments did enough to deserve their victory and another three points.
