TAE Kwon Do Instructor Steven McLaren has been promoted to the rank of 4th Degree Black Belt.

Steven, who runs classes from St Joseph"s Hall in Helensburgh, was upgraded in Edinburgh by Master Peter Harkess, 8th Degree.

His new rank is the official rank in Tae Kwon Do where the student is considered to be an expert.

Steven has also had a glittering competitive career, winning many tournaments and competing for Scotland on a number of occasions, including European and World Championships.

Many of Steven"s students have gained Black Belts and competition success and some currently are members of the Scottish National Team.
