CARDROSS Golf Club held its club championships at the weekend.
The championship takes the form of two rounds strokeplay on the Saturday with the top 12, and those tieing for 12th, playing a further two rounds on Sunday.
This year’s winner was Cameron Farrell, one of Cardross Golf Club’s junior golfers. The 16-year-old finished on a total score of 293 (73, 75, 71, 74); joint runners-up were Iain Campbell and Marcus While on 296; with Ryan McKenzie fourth with 297 and another junior, Liam Chambers, with a score of 300 in fifth place.
The MacLeod trophy was also played at the weekend.
This is the handicap event of the championships and this was also won by a junior Colin McKenzie with a nett aggregate score of 134 (65, 69); second was David White (136) with Gary Tolland (138) third.
