Dunachie’s rink had come out on top with a single shot in the previous two occasions but it was to be Clark’s day after taking a three point lead in the first end only for Dunachie to take one back in the second.

Clark played a fantastic heavy draw round so guards in the third to take out a single stone and to leave him with all four stones in the head counting to bring the tie to seven shots to one.

In the latter stages of the fourth Dunachie played one of his trade-mark excellent draws to lie two shots only for Adam to tap back one of his guards to steal back and add another to his tally.

There was no way back for Dunachie who suffered from some lucky results of opposition shots.

However, Clark played superbly throughout and saw the remaining ends going his way.
