Helensburgh Rugby Club return to action at the Clydebank 10s tournament with the team looking to impress new head coach John Cashmore.

Saturday, August 9: Raith Rovers v Dumbarton.

Dumbarton’s league season gets underway with a trip to Kirkcaldy to take on Grant Murray’s Raith Rovers.

Sunday, August 10: The Babcock Helensburgh Summer 7 Race.

Helensburgh Athletics Club have organised the seven mile race which will replace the Helensburgh half marathon.

Sunday’s race will run through the town on Sunday, starting at 9.30am at Colquhoun Square.

The race will then head west along Princes Street, loop back east and climb to the highest point on the course at Helensburgh Upper Railway Station.

A long sweeping descent round the eastern fringes of the town is then followed by a loop of the Colgrain area.

The route then heads back into town along King Street and finishes in Hermitage Park.
