Squash proved to be a smash hit with the public with a number of people looking to take up the sport — and they can now do just that, through Craighelen’s latest venture in partnership with CBF Tennis.

The new six week initiative will be aimed at young players from 5-16-years-old and is set to start next week, August 25.

The programme will be headed by Scotland number 10 and level two coach Stuart George, who has a proven track record of introducing youngsters to this exciting sport.

A number of the junior players coached by Stuart have represented Scotland at international level and he will now be looking to discover and help Scotland’s latest group of talented young players.

The programme is also to be supported by both West of Scotland and Scottish Squash as part of the Glasgow 2014 legacy where squash was showcased in the all glass show court at the Scotstoun venue.

The first seven week block costs £20 per child but with interest high and spaces limited, people are encouraged to get in touch as soon as possible to book places.

Classes will be held on a Monday evening with sessions between 4-5pm (5-10 year olds) and 5-6pm (ages 10+). All you need to take is a pair of trainers with non marking soles.
