They saw Ian McArthur winning by 11 to three against George Kerr, Gordon Whitelaw winning by eight to three against Euan Baird, Ian Mowat winning by eight to two against Robert Cornwell and Preston Fleming winning after a tight game by seven to five against Ken Earl. The semi-finals will take place in mid-December followed by the final in early January.

Most of the players had to turn out again to play in the second last round of the Bob Ralph, with games producing some interesting results.

Adam Clark and his team were on form and stormed to a 12 to two victory over Stuart Smith, likewise Archie Fulton had a good night with a comfortable seven to three win over Ronnie Morrison and although Alan Davie also won by seven to three against Derek Bowman luck played a part and this game could have gone either way.

Euan Baird also had lady luck on his side when after a tight first five ends he used his last shot in the sixth to take out the only opposing counting stone in the house and left his team to count five and although Crawford Howat came back to win the last end by one this left Euan overall winner by nine to four.

The last match of the evening was a tight game between Donald McLaren and Ronnie Dunnachie. Donald took three at the first end and followed this with a one at the next.

Ronnie fought back to take the next four ends for a total of five then Donald managed with his last shot to draw through a mass of opposing and counting stones to land on the button winning the end by one shot and drawing with Ronnie.

There is only one more set of games in the round-robin stage of the Bob Ralph and then the first of group A will play the second of group B while the first of group B will play the second of group A in the semi-final knockout stage leading to the final on December 8.
