The competition was given added spice as members of the composite Argyll and Clyde swim team raced against each other for their parent club.

The medal winners for Burgh were: Five gold (Caskie two, Craig one, Kavanah one, Storey one), eight silver (Caskie two, Craig three, Johnson one, Kavanah two) and three bronze (Hills, Thwaites and Mikey Miller) and one club record for Storey in the 200m butterfly.

Charlotte Caskie continued her current form with eight out of eight personal best times and four trips to the podium, reward for a winter of intense preparation from the all rounder.

Gail Craig had a full house of six personal bests as her swimming continues to improve over all strokes, leading her to four medals. Nine year old Roisin Kavanah, in her first competitive season, was the other multiple medallist with fastest ever swims in all four events.

Competing in the 200m butterfly for the first time in two years, Kate Storey took full advantage of a fast start to clock a new club record and take gold. Similarly in the 200m backstroke, club captain Marcus Hills, turned in a remarkable swim on his weakest stroke to finish third, following this with a new best in the 100m version.

Alex Johnson took silver in the 50m backstroke and personal best times in his other swims as he goes from strength to strength. Izzie Thwaites returned to the podium with bronze in the breaststroke. While youngest sibling Mikey Miller won bronze in the medley it was brother Joel Miller who excelled with huge improvements across all strokes. Sister Emily broke the 1:40 barrier in the 100m breaststroke along with three further personal bests and eldest Jake, recovering fitness, also swam well.

The Hughes sisters, Lauren and Rachel brought their new butterfly techniques to the meet and both achieved big improvements as did Rebekah Jackson with a strong 100m backstroke. Rachel Fraser clocked her fastest 100m backstroke of the year and Robert Humphries, having missed training with a heavy cold, still produced a lifetime best in the 200m breaststroke. Jodie Keenan-McCue topped a successful nine event schedule with a big swim in the 100m butterfly.

Butterfly proved to be a happy hunting ground for Jon Law with a personal best. Catriona Stewart grabbing fourth place and Elliott Simpson recording an eights best for the event. Peter Swigciski smashed 40 seconds for the 50m butterfly on his way to four out of eight personal best times. Kirsty Trail and Rachel Stewart each recorded two best times showing the coaches that the girls section is in safe hands for the future.

Most of the swimmers were used to external competition but new members Ryan Thomson, Lewis Robinson and William Peace had outstanding weekends, William setting bests in backstroke, freestyle and medley. Lewis took a huge 13 seconds off his 100m breaststroke time and Ryan claimed seven out of nine personal best times including a monster 14 second improvement in the individual medley.
