CARRICK golfer Clare Queen finished just six shots off the lead at the Australian Open.
The 25-year-old shot a final round 74 in Melbourne to leave her in joint eighth and pick up a cool $6,230.
Combined with her previous three rounds of 70, 75 and 72, Queen finished on one under par.
While it placed her as top Scot and puts her in a strong position for the start of the Ladies European Tour, it was fellow Brit Laura Davies who took the title.
The veteran"s five under par final round was enough to edge out Spain"s Tania Elosegui by a single shot.
