HELENSBURGH P5s rugby team went on an incredible unbeaten run to lift the Ardrossan Cup.

The team went one better than their recent runners-up success at the Hillhead/Jordanhill tournament.

Two weeks ago, they came second to Marr after wins against Ayr (8-6), Whitecraigs (10-2) and Glasgow Accies (11-7).

But over the weekend, the Ardrossan Cup was secured after victories over Greenock (9-0), Garnock (6-1), Ardrossan (7-1) and Irvine (12-1).

The Helensburgh minis are now busy preparing to host their own tournament this Sunday with seven other clubs attending Ardencaple.

Kick-off is 12pm.
