HELENSBURGH lost their first league game since October against North Berwick - but they were unfortunate not to take something from the clash.

The Grizzlies arrived in North Berwick with captain Chris Black and Alastair Cairns - who had spent the last five days in Las Vegas on a stag-do - both included in the starting XV.

However, they were well worth the gamble as a focused Grizzlies squad went looking for their first away victory of the season.

North Berwick had won five out of six games at home, scoring an average of 40 points per game, so a tough day was expected.
