MEMBERS of Argyll and Bute's 21 sailing clubs and an instructor at one of the regions 39 training centres could be honoured at RYA Scotland's Annual Awards with nominations due to close on January 7.
Helensburgh's London 2012 silver medallist, Luke Patience, will present Scotland's top coach, instructor, club, volunteer, young volunteer and outstanding female contribution to the sport, with the awards to be presented at a special dinner in Largs on Saturday, February 23.
Judging this year's awards will be: twice Olympic gold-medal winning sailor Shirley Robertson, OBE; Mike Hay, MBE, British Olympic Association's Head of Winter Sport Engagement and sportscotland board member and Chris Tiso, CEO at Tiso Group Ltd.
RYA Scotland Chief Operation Officer, James Stuart, said: "Recognising and celebrating the dedication and commitment of our volunteers, coaches, instructors, sailors and clubs is hugely important to our sport and we urge you to nominate those who have gone that extra mile for their sport, achieved great successes and have helped to encourage others."
